The Oppo Reno series has quickly become a household name in the smartphone industry, and with the launch of the Reno 10 Pro and Reno 10 Pro+, the company has truly taken its innovation for the masses to the next level. The Reno 10 Pro is an all-out camera-centric device that comes with a 50 MP primary camera, a 32 MP telephoto lens, and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens. Here are Reviews of the Oppo Reno 10 Pro, and whether it can be a good buy for you.

Oppo Reno 10 Pro Review: Design

The Reno 10 Pro offers a sleek and premium design with its curved glass sandwich design and color-matching plastic frame. It is available in two colors, Glossy Purple and Silvery Gray, and I have been testing the purple variant which conceals fingerprints and smudges to an extent. The phone also offers an IR blaster along with a 1.5K OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Camera Performance

The camera configuration on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro truly enhances the photography experience. It offers a remarkable triple camera module headlined by a 50 MP wide-angle, 32 MP telephoto, and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. The 32 MP selfie shooter is also one of the best front-facing cameras that I have tested so far. Despite the presence of an excellent primary shooter, the telephoto lens takes center stage in the Reno 10 Pro.

However, with just 2x optical zoom, it is somewhat limiting. Nevertheless, Thanks to the higher resolution 32 MP sensor on the Reno 10 Pro, even the photos captured with the telephoto lens exhibit remarkable detail, comparable to those taken with the primary camera. The phone also takes excellent shots at 0.6x, 1x, and 2x modes; however, the samples at 5x and 20x lack details and come out blurry most of the time.

Performance: Oppo Reno 10 Pro Review

The Reno 10 Pro is based on the Snapdragon 778G chip with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. While the phone had no issues handling day-to-day tasks, it is just not cut out for heavy usage. It ships with Android 13 based ColorOS 13.1 skin.

Battery Life

Despite packing a smaller 4,600 mAh battery, the Reno 10 Pro is an all-day battery life device and the 80W fast charging is also a welcome move. Despite using the device on the Jio 5G network for almost five hours a day, the phone could easily offer over five hours of screen-on-time.

Verdict

The Oppo Reno 10 Pro has a few stand-out features like a dedicated telephoto lens, premium looks, and even extended battery life. It is slightly on the expensive side for what it offers, but many may appreciate what the Reno 10 Pro offers. For those who spent a lot of money on the Galaxy S23 Ultra just for its telephoto lens, the Reno 10 Pro is a winner. It would be my go-to recommendation for a mid-range phone with a stellar camera setup.
