Nayanthara buys Agasthiya theater: Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, the power couple of South Indian cinema, have made a major move in the movie theater business.
They recently purchased the old Agasthiya theater in North Chennai under their production company, Rowdy Pictures. The Agasthiya theater, which has been entertaining patrons since 1967, had to close its doors due to the coronavirus pandemic last year.
Now, Nayanthara and Vignesh plan to renovate the single-screen facility into a two-screen complex, with a capacity to seat over a thousand viewers. Apart from being an acclaimed actress, Nayanthara is now a serial entrepreneur. She has invested in several businesses, and the purchase of the Agasthiya Theater is her latest venture.
The couple have expressed their enthusiasm and best wishes for the success of their new project. Nayanthara is currently starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee’s Hindi film ‘Jawan’, costarring Vijay Sethupathi.
She is also currently filming ‘Lady Superstar 75’ and ‘The Test’, her first film with R. Madhavan. We wish them the best of luck with their new venture!
