Google CEO Sundar Pichai History. Let’s see the story of the man who rule the world.  When Donald Trump was the President of the United States, he left a statement saying that only Americans should work in America and those from other countries should not be given employment. Information Technology is growing in America because of Indians, so Americans have less job opportunity. The statement was released in order to boost employment for native Americans. When this report was released, one person from India who works in America also reported that his company will hire anyone based on need and not on nationality. He is none other than Pichai Sundararajan better known as Sundar Pichai , CEO of Alphabet and its subsidiary Google.

EARLY LIFE: Google CEO Sundar Pichai

                He was born on July 12, 1972, in Madurai and then moved to Chennai. He belongs to a lower middle-class family. His home was in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. It contains only 2 rooms. There is not even a television in his home. His father works as an Electrical Engineer in a company called GEC. His mother was a Stenographer. They had only one scooter and they use to travel in that scooter or in local bus. At his early stage he lived a modest life. In his schooling days, he is average in his studies. His family members use to bully him because he is an average student. He strongly believes in two aspects one is loyalty and the other one is self-confidence.

EDUCATION:

                Google CEO Sundar Pichai: He started his schooling in Jawahar Higher Secondary School, then he continued his school education in Vani Vani Matriculation Higher Secondary School. After finishing his schooling, he wished to join IIT, but his family members bullied him because of his average marks. But no one know that he is good at aptitude. With his self-confidence and his strength at aptitude he cracked IIT and joined IIT Kharagpur. Google CEO Sundar Pichai: IIT campus was a new experience for him. During his school days he had no friends, he joined IIT with no friends. In IIT he studied Metallurgical Engineering. University of Pennsylvania invited him to do his MS with no fee and they met all his expenses. At that time his family can’t afford the flight charges from India to America. Somehow, he arranged money and went  to America. During this period, he didn’t make any phone calls to his parents because he can’t afford the phone bill charges. Then he joined Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for his MBA programme.

WORK LIFE:

                Google CEO Sundar Pichai: After his education he joined a company called Mckinsey & Co in America. Then he married his lover, Anjali Pichai. The one whom he loved during his college days in IIT Kharagpur. Anjali motivated him to join Google, at that time Google was a growing IT company. And he got placed at Google.

LIFE AT GOOGLE:

                Google CEO Sundar Pichai: At that time everyone is using Internet explorer which was built by Microsoft and other alternative is Mozilla firefox for browsing the internet. He got an idea about Google chrome. He went to his CEO and explained about Google chrome, but the idea was rejected. Then he directly went to the founder of Google Larry Page and showed his plan to promote Google chrome. Pichai said “this browser will create an impact, and everyone will start using this”. By seeing the confidence of Sundar Pichai, Larry formed a team to work on Sundar’s idea. Someone in the team leaked it while they were developing the Google chrome. He got vexed because all the superiors started to blame him. He strongly believed in himself and again he started to work. Google officially launched it. Over 90% of the internet population use Google chrome only for browsing now. The fun fact is that even when internet explorer is provided as a default browser in new mobiles, people use Google chrome after downloading it from Play store and make it the default browser.

ANDROID PROJECT: Google CEO Sundar Pichai

                After the success of Google chrome, Larry Page gave Android project to Sundar Pichai. At that time India had no Android. Each mobile companies ran a custom OS built by them on their mobiles. Sundar Pichai came to India and made deal with small companies like Micromax and so on and launched Android phones in India. This was a revolution as mobile companies can now make the hardware better and use the tried and tested Android software given by Google on their mobile. After launching android phones, they are now available at affordable ranges from 2K to 70K.

CEO:

                Google CEO Sundar Pichai: By seeing his hits, Twitter and Microsoft offered him the CEO post which he rejected due to his loyalty to Larry Page. On hearing this news Larry Page made Sundar Pichai as the CEO of Google.

He is an example for an average student to become a powerful person. He strongly believed that self confidence and loyalty gives long term reward. Now he is the CEO of Alphabet. Alphabet is the parent company for Google.
